Having trouble getting through the dream, or just want to get to the good stuff as quickly as possible? Have no fear! This special walkthrough will tell you exactly how to conquer all the tricky little barbs and snares keeping you from your goal.
_______________________

The dream begins here, in "your room". Nothing really special happens in this area, although it is the only place linking you to the Monster World. You'll probably be coming back here a few times. For now, though, let's investigate that odd little light coming out from under the bed! You'll want to click the 'Yes' button to continue.

***
Alright, so now we're officially under the bed. This is where the dream starts to kick off. We'll start by talking to that little green guy over by the shiny, swirly thing. His name's Morrey, and he's got a very important favor to ask of you. Accept his request, and then step through the portal. You'll be coming back here later, so don't forget the way!

***
Now you're in the lobby of the Monster Motel. (Perky-looking place, ain't it?) Unfortunately, the doors are locked, so you're going to need to get permission to go inside first. There are two NPCs here, both of whom you'll need to talk to in order to move ahead. The receptionist will be preoccupied with something else until you finish talking with the skeleton in the corner there, though, so go ahead and chat with her first. Once you've finished talking to the both of them, the doors will unlock, and you may proceed into the motel!

***

This part of the dream is fairly straightforward. There are twelve rooms on the first and second floors (six each) that you'll need to enter, and every single one of them will have a different monster inside that you'll need to talk to. Some of them may ask you for something in return for their information, but each of those quests can easily be completed without leaving the room. Once you've spoken to all twelve monsters about the key Morrey's looking for, you'll be allowed to attempt entering the mighty Suite 13 at the end of the hall on Floor 2.
Here are the answers in order to pass the test:

  • 1 - B (Ape)
  • 2 - A (Bridge)
  • 3 - C (Harvest Moon)
  • 4 - A (Crumpets)
  • 5 - B (Ghoul)
  • 6 - A (Airplane)
  • 7 - B (Squid)
  • 8 - C (Garlic)
  • 9 - A (Ogre)
  • 10 - A (Popsicles)
  • 11 - C (Gothic)
  • 12 - B (Nothing)
  • 13 - Er... I don't know!

Once you've entered the suite, all that's left to do is search one of the cabinets at the back of the room and grab the key! Now you can head back to the first floor, and return to Morrey the goblin.

  • ***
Now it's time to enter the closet. Once you've given the key to Morrey, follow his instructions and head back to your room. The red door, which previously wouldn't let you through, will now be accessible. Walk in, and you'll suddenly find yourself in a spooky-looking wilderness! An NPC nearby will give you a heads up on what to expect, so go ahead and read what he has to say, then move on. The woods is split up into two different sections, which eventually join into one big obstacle course near the end. On the left is a labyrinth of trees (you can't really see where you're going, but everything is perfectly stationary), and on the right is a vicious pack of werewolves (which is much easier to see, but more difficult to navigate through because of the moving obstacles). Whichever path you choose is totally up to you; they both end up at the same place. There isn't really an "easy way" to slip through this part, so you're going to have to rely on quick reflexes and good timing in order to get through safely!

    Tips:
-The werewolves will always move in the same pattern, and they'll only attack if you bump into them or if they bump into you. (I wonder if anything happens when you try howling at moon after you've been bitten?)
-The prickly-looking brown stuff scattered throughout both sides of the woods are briar patches. If you touch them, you'll be sent back to the beginning! Be careful!
-You'll see some fern-like things when you get closer to the end of the maze. Don't step on them! They're actually pitfalls, and you'll be sent back to the beginning of the maze if you touch one!

Once you've reached the end of the maze in the woods, you'll come across a bouncer guarding the doors to a big building thingy. Say "@icanhasacheeseburger?", and you'll be allowed inside!

    ***
Ta-dah! That's it, you did it!

Of course, that's not all there is to the dream, but now you have access to all the other little goodies we've got hidden away for you. Be sure to talk to the NPC standing out in the courtyard before you go back to exploring, though. She'll let you use her teleporter so that you don't have to go through the maze every time you want to go back and forth between the bedroom and the dance club. Have fun!

These are the furres responsible for the creation of Under the Bed! Each one contributed to the dream in their own special way, making a totally cool (and somewhat goofy) adventure unlike any Furcadia has ever seen. In no particular order, here they are:

ALORAH is the DragonSpeak wiz on the team, and by far the most devious out of all of us. She designed the observatory and came up with a lot of really cool ideas for the dream. She's also the one who crafted the maze in the woods section and all the horribly irritating obstacles inside of it. Got attacked by a werewolf? Ran into a patch of briars? Fell into a pitfall? Direct your anger here - this one's at fault for all your frustration.
We love her anyway, of course.

LEN FLARE is our other DragonSpeak wiz, who not only coded the grand majority of the quests, but also designed several of the rooms! He was really patient, especially with Lhu's picky pestering about tiny little details in the dream, and spent many a mostly-sleepless night polishing it up with nifty little doodads, like the DS buttons and the template for the Suite 13 quiz.

LHUMINA is the mastermind behind the whole ordeal. She's the one who initially came up with the idea for Under the Bed, and wrote out nearly all of the dialogue scripts you see in the dream. That was a pain. She also designed the Kitty-on-a-Broomstick avatars, the dream's skin, and wrote up this website with her mediocre HTML skills. Sorry for the eyesore, folks!

EMERI is our patch artist. While we all helped out with the patches here and there, Em was a true knight in shining armor in our time of need. We ran into a wall when it came to the patches, and Emeri here totally came to our rescue with her remarkable talents. A huge amount of the fabulous patches seen in the dream were done by this talented little furre, and for that, she has our utmost gratitude.
